Advanced Diploma in Renal Nursing Programme
The Advanced Diploma in Renal Nursing Programme is designed to train State Registered Nurses and Assistant Medical Officers to be specialized professional health practitioners towards the care of patients with kidney problems. The aim of the Advanced Diploma in Renal Nursing Programme is to develop knowledge, skills and positive attitude among State Registered Nurses and Assistant Medical Officers who are willing to care for patients with kidney problems in the clinical areas of haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis or renal transplantation.
The curriculum covers a concise description in areas of haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation. The development of curriculum contents and structure involves specialists who are experts in current information and development of Nephrology and Renal Nursing.
The duration of the course is one year which comprises of two semesters. The clinical experience will be gained at various major nephrology units throughout the country.
