Diploma in Nursing

The Diploma in Nursing is a three (3) years diploma programme offered to school leavers with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) of minimum five (5) credits. International admission is allowed with the equivalent academic performance in Ordinary Level (O Level) examination.

The Diploma in Nursing programme is developed to educate and train students on various nursing skills. Students will be exposed to the required nursing skills and will manage patients with various issues related to individual and community health, while undergoing this programme. The curriculum provides a balance theoretical and hands-on learning experiences for students who would like to be successful in the health and nursing career. Students undertaking the programme will study the following modules as part of the graduation requirements.

  • Health Sciences (Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology and Microbiology & Parasitology)
  • Behavioural Sciences e.g. Psychology Development & Sociology and Management in Nursing
  • Nursing Sciences e.g. Principles and Practice of Nursing
  • Community Health Nursing e.g. Gerontological Nursing and Public Health Nursing
  • Elective Module (Information Technology and English)
  • Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) Subject (Islamic Studies / Morale Education and Malaysia Studies)
